Yeah, that's me and my lovely girlfriend at the Maturball. My schooltime is oer, I got the matura and now I have a lot of free time.

First of all I want to go snowboarding. At Christmas I will go with my family. Then I will went with my friends for a week in the snow and after that I will teach some children in snowboarding also for a week.

Then I have time to train and search for a job or I will study.

In the last few weeks I trained not that much as I usually do, because I had a lot of preparation to do for my exams. They wasn't easy but I won this fight;-).

Now I'm going to buy a new drumset which I'm looking forward to for a long time.

train hard and learn a lot

The last weekend I started to train. On friday we were going to a run for about 8-9km and straight after into the water for a 4km swim. The swimming was really hard for me, because I didn't train swimming really for almost a year. On saturday I went to the finalseasonevent of Swiss Triathlon. It was just amazing, I've met my friends from triathlon. There were also a few pro-athletes like Sven Riederer, Ruedi Wild, Oliver Marceau, Magali di Marco Messmer and so on.  I had a lot of fund that evening and went to bed around twelve o' clock.

On sunday I had to get up early because the swimtraining started at nine o' clock. For me it was a lot easyer than on friday, i hadn't havy arms as I expected. We swam around 5-6km I think and then went for a 13-14km run. Sometimes my foot hurted a little bit, but it's nothing serious. I talked a lot with the teammates and I'm looking forward to the next trainingsessions with them.

After the training I had to learn french. Because today I wrote the second final exam for my matura. A week ago  I had the german exam and now I should learn for my mathematic exam for tomorrow. On wednesday I will write the third exam in physics. After that I have two and a half weeks for preparation for my oral and practic exames in sport, math, french, german and

holiday

yesss two weeks holiday. But... unfortunately I have to work for my matura-exam.

Last two weeks were really heavy, a lot of tests and homework. But I got good marks. I think sport has a good influance on my schoolwork.

Anyway, know there's a trainingbreak in my team. We are starting to train at the beginning of November. I have to train a lot of swimming, because it's my weakest discipline.

I look forward to my graduation at the Gymnasium and for my two month training time before I will have to go to the army.

disaster

Well, I hadn't a great run. My time was 10 minutes and 47 seconds. I started very good and I was feeling great on the first lap, I ran with the lead group. The pace wasn't that hard and I thought about an attack, but after 700m a breathin problem started, I had a lot of pain in my shoulder and so i had to let go the group. I couldn't close the gap between me and the lead group and so I fell back and back. At the and I lost over a minute.

10 minutes and 47 seconds aren't that bad for my shape at the time, but I expected more and I was very dissapointed after the run.

After the 3000m run I also had to run 400m. I wanted to run this 400m in 60 secondes and I got it. I had 59 secondes.

After the competition I was eating with my friends in McDonalds, I know it isn't the best idea after sport, but sometimes it's just great.

3000m run part 1

In about five hours I'm going to run the 3000m. I feel very good but I had a terrible headache so I only slept three hours. I hope that won't affect on 
my run. It's raining outside and it isn't very warm. 
I think the cours is going to be very slippery and I own
just normal running shoes from aesics. I hope everthing goes well. 

I really want to run under 10min. I think the first round (7.5 rounds à 400m) will be very fast, I think under one minute, for the rest I aim for 80 sec per lap. So I would achieve this 10 minutes.

Yeah that's me in one of the races I started. I thought I must upload something.

Ehm what shall I write. It was a very easy week. In two days I'm going to run the 3000m and I'm in top form;). Seriously I feel very good on the run, maybe it's because I lost four kilos (I had a stomach flu). In about two weeks there are the holidays for two weeks. I will learn and read a lot in these two weeks for my exams. 

What else can I say... Ah was thinking a lot about my future plans... I must have a job (50%) if I want to do just triathlon, because my parents said so. My parents aren't very happy with my future plans but they will support me if I really want to do this.

In October are the training break in my triathlon team. I will talk a lot with my coaches to plan my future. I hope everthing goes fine because I really want to do what I have planed.

speech

Yeah today I had my speech. It was a great succes. The teacher totally agreed with my opinions and give me a grad between 5 and 5.5, in Switzerland a 6 is the best grade and a 1 the worst. This week I will havve a lot of time for myself because there aren't any tests. Tomorrow I will have a meeting with my teamcoach, because the team want me to train our young athletes at the Wildcats Triathlon Team. It would be a pleasure but if I want to be at a good place in some years in Switzerland I will have to train a lot and I don't know if I can train the children at the same time.

I totally forgot to write about why I had the pleasure to watch the World Championships in Triathlon in Hamburg.
My father is the financial manager at Swiss Triathlon and because of him I could watch these phenomenal competitions live. It was just amazing.

Well next week, on the 18th september I will run 3000m against other students from other schools. I train now for my circumstances a lot and hope that I'm going to run a good time. If I can run a time under ten minutes I would be very proud of myself because I'm not train as much as I used to two years ago. At the moment I train just between 4 and 7 hours a week. That's not very much I know, but If I want to pass the exams in december I'll have to work a lot for school and sport is on the second or third place.

A lot to do...

I have a lot to do now in school. For Monday i have to write a speech. I've chosen the subject: "legalize doping?". I think it is a very interessting subject. I think a lot about doping. My opinion is that a lot of performances in sport aren't possible without doping. 

Even in triathlon I wouldn't say that everyone is "clean", but I think the 
situation isn't the same like at the Tour de France for example.

As soon as I can I will upload my speech. Unfortunatly it is written in german, I don't know if I'm gonna translate the whole speech.

Ah today I went for a little biketour for about 100 minutes. We went over a little hill (600m difference in altitude). I don't know exactly how many kilometers we were going. I think about 50km.

Hy my name is...

As you see above, Michael Preiswerk. I'm Michael Preiswerk from Switzerland. I try to write this blog in English but I'm not very good in it. If read this and you find some mistakes, please tell me them because I want to improve my english writing and language.

I'm now 19 years old. I finally achieved to get the permission to drive a car. In Switzerland you have to be 18 to do so. I do a lot of sport. Since 2000 I swim, ride and run... called triathlon.
2-3 years ago I was very succesfull in the youth categorie in Switzerland. SwissTriathlon took me into a cadre (called "Nachwuchskader). this cadre is just under the national team.
But I decide to concentrate on school and I quit the cadre. In a few month I'm going to write the final tests for my school, then I have to go five month in the army of Switzerland.

After that i will take a break of to years to concentrate on triathlon, if all goes well.

I'm also playing in a band. I play the bass guitar. Before I played for about ten years the drums. Music is an important part of my life.
